RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing, officials from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan prioritised enhancing their scientific and military cooperation.

In Riyadh, at the 7th Pakistan-KSA Bilateral Defence Industrial Forum, both sides addressed strengthening military cooperation. According to ISPR, the Saudi delegation was led by Assistant Defense Minister H.E. Engr Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi and included the Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir.

Lt Gen Dastgir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to aiding in the Royal Saudi Defence Forces’ capacity building during the meeting. The Saudi dignitary emphasised Pakistan’s critical contributions to regional peace and stability while acknowledging the country’s tremendous accomplishments and sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

The symposium covered a range of regional and international security issues and how they affect defence forces, highlighting the need for increased industry collaboration in light of the quickening pace of technological development. The participants decided on new areas of partnership and examined the status of their current collaborations.
