BEIJING – Pakistani citizens residing in China can renew their passports by visiting the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing. The embassy processes passport applications for machine-readable passports from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 11:30 AM, excluding public holidays.
Important Notice: Applications will only be accepted if all required documents are complete. Incomplete applications will be rejected or placed on hold.
Requirements for Passport Issuance in China
For All Applicants:
- Original valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
- Original passport, along with copies of pages 1-5 and the current visa/resident permit.
- A loss report from the Chinese police or immigration bureau, if the passport is lost.
For Minors (Under 18 Years):
- Original Computerized Form “B” (CRC) or NICOP.
- Original birth certificate.
- Valid CNIC of parents.
- The minor must be accompanied by both parents or a legal guardian.
- Guardianship or custodianship papers if parents are separated.
Steps to Apply for Passport Renewal
- Obtain a token with a photograph.
- Have fingerprints (biometric data) taken.
- Provide the applicant’s data.
- Check the record against the database.
- Receive a recommendation for the issuance of the passport.
Passport Fees in RMB (Effective July 2024)
36-Page Passport:
- Normal Fee: 189 Yuan (5 years), 282 Yuan (10 years)
- Urgent Fee: 310 Yuan (5 years), 460 Yuan (10 years)
72-Page Passport:
- Normal Fee: 340 Yuan (5 years), 507 Yuan (10 years)
- Urgent Fee: 556 Yuan (5 years), 827 Yuan (10 years)
100-Page Passport:
- Normal Fee: 372 Yuan (5 years), 556 Yuan (10 years)
- Urgent Fee: 744 Yuan (5 years), 1,101 Yuan (10 years)
