Pakistan to take over presidency of Asian Cricket Council for next two years

LAHORE – Pakistan will take over the presidency of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) for the upcoming two-year term.

Mohsin Naqvi, the incumbent chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, is likely to be the next ACC president.

The ACC presidency follows a rotation policy. At this time, Jay Shah, Secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), holds the position and was granted a one-year extension in January of this year.

Mohsin Naqvi will assume the role of ACC President for the next two-year term. Jay Shah will step down from the ACC presidency upon completing his term.

The matter of the upcoming presidency was discussed at the last ACC meeting, and the official announcement would be made at the ACC meeting scheduled for October-November.
